While the pandemic is the largest test of mental resilience, it can get better knowing that others are going through similar tribulations as oneself. Having a supportive network can be crucial to getting through during this time, government intervention for furloughs and severance packages should health. During this crisis, mental health perhaps affects more younger adults who rely on friends and who have not been through stress that comes with wisdom of later years- most elderly are also retired so the anxiety associated with lack of work is alleviated and preparation for stressful situations. One in three adults experiences this, and it can be that COVID-19 is the greatest psychological experiment in history to view in real time how individuals are affected with social distancing and the lack of intimacy.
