uber drivers are suing to learn how the company’s algo works

The irony is that under GDPR certain gathering of data should not be made public and should uphold a customer’s right to privacy. By sharing this data with drivers, it is making internal data more available. While drivers should indeed know how the algorithm functions by charting their own rides or friend’s, they should not have company data shared. To take a gander, Uber hones the algorithm in based off of the reputation of the driver, but number of car rides and car stops aren’t exactly privacy on user data- it’s anonymized and based off of work activity.
