Should we lace our waters with lithium?

This may be a great idea, but it goes without saying that overdosing on lithium does have negative side effects and should not be adamantly taken without psychiatry instruction. While it stands, many bipolar people and those with mood disorders do take lithium, so it isn’t a life threatening ion. It may be a new norm like fluoride in drinking water to protect against cavities, but taking a heavy metal over extended periods of time may not be optimal.
